Canadian founders and long-time friends, Jennifer Flores and Cecilia Lunn forged a bond over their love of Hawaii.
Jennifer has travelled to Hawaii for the last 20 years, visiting O'ahu, Maui, The Big Island and Kauai, and has studied the Hawaiian culture and customs. Her love of the Aloha Spirit, the food, and the people has made her want to share the authentic Hawaii that she has experienced, with others. When she got engaged, her dream was to have her wedding on the Hawaiian Islands, so she planned and designed her wedding from Montreal, and executed it in Waikiki, Hawaii. With a new found passion for wedding planning, the idea of Ka'Ana Co. Events came about. However, food was also a big part of who she was, and her passion for Hawaiian cuisine, gave life to their own authentic Hawaiian pop-up event in Montreal called, "The Kama'āina Experience". With a background in food industry, six years in event planning, and marketing, her expertise is shown through the planning, design and execution of our events.
Cecilia, having travelled to Maui fell in-love with its natural romance, stillness and the Aloha Spirit. With eight years of experience as a hair stylist, Cecilia worked collaboratively with her clients and created a variety of beautiful and unique looks for their weddings. Cecilia changed career paths from the beauty industry to the event planning industry. With a background in the restaurant business, her knowledge to curate the best menus for our clients is essential to a substantial part of our company. Her meticulousness, and methodical ways complement her partner's creativity, and together make the perfect team.
